Summer Workshops/Instruction

Workshops available: Sundays 12noon-5:30,Weekdays & Saturdays
10-3:30pm, ½ hour lunch break. Class time will include instruction/review of techniques weekly theme during the summer. Soldering project examples will be posted on website prior to workshop. Prices are $75 for one 5 ½ hour session which will include copper for the projects, silver will be an additional TBA before the class. $20 discount for all workshops prepaid two weeks before workshop date.

6/29, 7/1-3 PMC & basic enameling
7/6 & 7 Soldering Miles; soldering building skill projects
7/8 -11 Marriage of metal technique; cutting, soldering, fitting & sanding two different color metals of same thickness to create a color pattern.  
7/13-14 Soldering Miles; soldering building skill projects
7/15 -19 Direct casting methods, water casting, broom straw casting, rock salt casting, bean casting, cuttlebone casting, charcoal casting, etc.
 7/20-21 Soldering Miles; soldering building skill projects  
7/22-26 Soldering Miles; Rings, basic stone settings & things
7/27-28 Unusual chains, clasps & catches workshop
7/29-8/2 Etching, etch design & learn how to use the etched piece in a jewelry project.
8/3-4 Enamel on etched fine silver designs
8/5-9 Anticlastic VS Synclastic shape projects.
8/10-11 Soldering Miles; soldering building skill projects
8/12-16 Keum boo technique; fine silver foil fused to copper or 23.5 gold fused to fine silver
8/19-24 Hydraulic press forming with keum boo or Keum boo PMC & enamel.
8/28 Open studio to complete summer projects.
9/7-8 Nick Barnes fold forming workshop, take one or two days  Price $TBA
9/14 -15 Practice fold forming learned in Nick Barnes workshop/
